Art in Bloom is an annual celebration of the David Owsley Museum of Art (DOMA) through innovative floral interpretations created by regional designers. This floral exhibition of arrangements will be on view for the public May 14 and 15 with no admission fee and extended hours of noon - 5:00 p.m. both days. Join us for tours, activities, demonstrations and more (and parking on Campus Drive on the Old Quad is free on weekends!) and visit the Facebook event to invite friends.
In addition to the featured floral arrangements, the following presentations and activities are scheduled (times subject to slight changes):
SATURDAY, May 14:
- live music with Dr. Jim Rhinehart on piano at 1pm
- Docent-led tours of the flowers at 2pm and 3pm
- paper flower-making crafts at 3:30pm
- a floral demo by Audrey Scott of Normandy Flower Shop, Inc. at 3:30pm
- light refreshments and art-inspired coloring pages for all ages all day
SUNDAY, May 15:
- live floral arranging by Julie Vance of Buck Creek In Bloom at 12:15pm
- live music with Dr. Jim Rhinehart on piano at 1:30pm
- docent-led tours of the flowers at 2pm and 3pm
- live music with Dr. Seth Beckman on piano and Dr. Mihoko Watanabe on flute at 3pm
- paper flower-making crafts at 3:30pm
- light refreshments and art-inspired coloring pages for all ages all day
